Consultations, quotes, and coverage
The initial consultation for cosmetic and reconstructive surgery is 100€. Follow-up consultations for reconstructive surgery are 60€ and are included in the price of cosmetic surgery. For dermatology, the initial consultation is 90€, and follow-up consultations are 60€.
Yes, but only when the consultation is for medical reasons (reconstructive or dermatological). For cosmetic reasons, coverage is not available. Patients must bring a letter from their prescribing physician and a current, printed copy of their proof of insurance. Any fees exceeding the insurance coverage are the patient’s responsibility.
A valid health insurance card, your ID, any test results you may have, and surgical reports if you have previously undergone surgery. Patients covered by CMU/CSS/C2S must bring up-to-date proof of eligibility.

For cosmetic procedures, post-operative follow-up visits are included in the estimate. For reconstructive procedures, the cost is €60, which may be covered by Medicare and your private health insurance, depending on your policy.
Anesthesia and Preoperative Preparation
This is the time to perform a clinical examination, determine the procedure, assess its feasibility, and discuss expectations. It is also the time for the surgeon to evaluate safety and, if necessary, decline to perform the procedure. The anesthesiologist determines the most appropriate type of anesthesia based on the procedure, its duration, your height and weight, your medical history, and any medications you may be taking.

You will be provided with the contact information once the date of your procedure is confirmed. You must see an anesthesiologist at the clinic where you are having your surgery.

General anesthesia is now a highly regulated procedure performed under strict safety protocols. Risks are rare in healthy patients. Yes. Smoking increases the risk of complications and can interfere with healing. It is recommended that you stop smoking at least 4 to 6 weeks before and after the procedure.
Surgery and hospitalization
It varies depending on the type of procedure. Details are provided in the description for each procedure. A procedure can last between 30 minutes and two hours. The hospital stay is generally one night. We recommend a two-night stay for patients who do not live in the Île-de-France region.

Dr. Vairinho practices at the Clinique des Martinets in Rueil-Malmaison and at the Clinique des Princes in Boulogne-Billancourt. Both facilities are equipped with state-of-the-art medical facilities and staffed by a professional and caring team.
Postoperative care and follow-up
It depends on the procedure. Specific instructions are provided to the patient along with the necessary prescriptions.
Generally, follow-up appointments are scheduled weekly for the first two weeks, and then less frequently. This may vary depending on the procedure performed. For patients living outside the Paris region, follow-up care can be provided remotely if the initial checkup is successful. Dr. Vairinho will confirm the frequency of your follow-up appointments. Appointments will be scheduled directly with his assistant.
Because post-operative care is just as important as the surgery itself: follow-up care allows us to monitor healing and support the patient through the final stages of recovery.
It depends on the procedure: from 2–3 days for minor procedures to 2–3 weeks for more extensive surgeries. The duration is also determined in consultation with the doctor based on each person’s occupation.
They gradually fade, but never disappear completely. The quality of the healing process depends on the technique, aftercare, and individual factors.
